How to Install Queltaps?

Installation Options

With over 20 years in the filtered water industry, Quel Tap (previously trading as AquaTaps) ensures a reliable experience. Whether you install the Queltap yourself using our easy-to-follow video or opt for our professional installation within our service area, our trained technicians are here to assist. For any questions, our dedicated team is just a call away.

Installation criteria

Whether or not Quel Tap’s are doing your installation or you are installing the Queltap yourself, please see the basic requirements you will need in order to install the Queltap.

Connection to a mains water supply

Connection to a mains water supply, with both the hot and the cold water having a pressure between 1.5 Bar and 5 Bar. If the water pressure exceeds 5 bar a pressure reducing valve must also be used.

3 Pin 13 AMP Plug Socket

A standard 3-pin 13 Amp plug socket is required in the cupboard near your boiler.

Additional Requirements.
If selecting the Chiller option, Queltap Fizz, or Digital Classic models, an extra 13 Amp socket is needed. For the Digital Fizz model, a total of three 13 Amp sockets are required.

Water supply shut off valve

The ability to shut of your water supply with knowledge of where your stop cock is.

Room Under The Sink

Boiler and chiller dimensions vary depending on the tap model you choose. Please check the specifications on the product page for the exact unit you’re interested in before installation.

If you plan to include a chiller, remember that adequate ventilation is essential. Your cupboard may require a ventilation grille to ensure proper airflow.
